Work hard, be committed, but above all don't look for a quick fix!

Recently I consulted with a potential member of my Fit, Lean and Healthy Programme. During the discussion it became clear to me that this person was looking for a quick fix without actually wanting to do any hard work. At the end of our chat I give her my conclusion that this programme wasn’t right for her as it meant she would have to change her lifestyle dramatically, sweat for at least 5 hours a week in the gym, detoxify her body and clean up her gut.

With an air of initial confusion, she realised that I was right; she wasn’t prepared to work that hard to get the results she wanted.

Quick fixes do not work!

This reminded me of one of my clients who came to me 4 years ago and changed her lifestyle and stuck to it.

“My name is Mary-Anne.  I have been a regular at the gym for at least the last 15 years. Doing what I thought was best in terms of exercise and diet. Previous to this I had played competitive volleyball up until my thirties.  

Between 2004 and 2006 I had put on a lot of weight.  I noticed personal training leaflets at my regular gym and decided to give Gregg a call; that was October 2006. We agreed to meet and discuss my needs - a decision that I do not regret."
